We were thrilled to celebrate 20 of our talented 7th and 8th grade artists who were selected to participate in the Middlesex County Teen Arts Festival! These students were hand-picked to represent our program and proudly showcased their artwork at this prestigious event. Their pieces received thoughtful adjudication from college professors, offering meaningful feedback to help them grow as young artists. Emmanuela, an 8th grade student, was nominated for the State Teen Arts Reception Showcase — an incredible honor, as middle school students are rarely selected. Congratulations to her on this outstanding achievement!In addition to exhibiting their work, students also took part in dynamic, hands-on workshops where they experimented with new materials, explored fresh techniques, and pushed their creative ideas even further. We were so proud of their dedication, courage, and artistic voice!

Our Advanced Art 8 students are creating dynamic 3-D stars inspired by an art movement of their choice. Each piece reflects the individuality and creativity of its artist, resulting in a vibrant collection of styles and ideas. The stars are turning out beautifully and will soon be displayed throughout the NB community, celebrating the incredible talent of our students!

Mrs. Cieslak's 8th grade science classes took advantage of the beautiful weather last week. They completed a lab to compare how far they can jump on Earth and calculate the distances they would have jumped on other planets considering mass and gravity.

Our Advanced Studio 8 artists spent the day immersed in an all-day Altered Book Workshop, exploring innovative techniques that transform ordinary books into powerful works of art. From cutting and layering to text manipulation and mixed media experimentation, students learned how to deconstruct and reimagine pages in bold, expressive ways.
This hands-on experience set the stage for their upcoming unit focused on the dynamic relationship between text and visual storytelling — and we can’t wait to see how they bring their ideas to life!
